FLU CLINIC INFORMATION Clinics are offered September-January, based on vaccine availability To schedule your clinic: • Contact our Clinic Coordinator, Linda Turner 512-328-2247 or contact us to select time(s) that work best for your organization and a location: either well-spaced inside or a drive through outside. • Download the Vaccine Information Statement and Consent forms for both forms The day of the clinic Flu Busters’ Registered Nurses: • Set up all the medical supplies • Provide individual care for each client • Observe sterile technique, infection control and safety guidelines • Remove all medical waste at the end of the clinic • Provide information on flu prevention, symptoms and treatment • Current HIPAA Info Payment options: • Insurance: Claims will be submitted at no charge for some insurance providers • Cash or check payable to Flu Busters • Company invoice for staff vaccines |
FLU VACCINE INFORMATION The single best way to protect against the Flu is to get vaccinated each year! Flu Vaccines • Are recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices to be given annually for everyone 6 months or older. • Contain inactivated/killed viruses • Protect against 4 strains of viruses (Quadrivalent) • Are reviewed annually and updated to match the circulating flu viruses • Can be given to people with minor illnesses such as a cold or allergies Flu Busters can vaccinate children: • Ages 9 and up OR children age 5 to 8 who have had a flu vaccine in the past Who should NOT get a flu shot: • A person who has had an anaphylactic reaction to a prior flu vaccine or any of its components • A person who has a severe allergy to eggs • A person who has had Guillain-Barre Syndrome For more information on flu vaccines click on the Downloads tab |
